About Us

We identify and focus on important issues and do something about them. We build participation through communications and by working collaboratively. We believe sector strength comes from a collaborative voice.

In particular, NZFVWO—
• provides informed comment on a variety of issues.
• works collaboratively with others on a range of capacity-building projects.
• encourages organisations to participate and be involved.
• advocates on behalf of our members and our sector.

We’ve operated for over forty years with a membership base of around 130 organisations, covering over 11,000 paid staff, 41,500 volunteers and 3,500 branches or member organisations.
